What happens when cocoa or chocolate lines are not pigged…

It is well known that cocoa or chocolate should not come into contact with water during production, but is often forgotten what really happens, if the pipes in production are not emptied. If cocoa or chocolate is not cleared in the pipes, the whole mixture turns into a rock hard mass that is very difficult to remove from the pipes. The easiest solution is to pig the pipes. This means that with the URESH pigging system only a film of 0.1mm remains on the surface. This not only allows clear separation of batches, but also prevents product loss and also possibly  considerable loss of time due to cleaning. If you would like to know why the URESH pigging system is preferred in the cocoa and chocolate production, feel free to contact us.
